I've been working on this 3d printer for about 4 weeks. It's a variation of the Rostock delta printer which I name the Prisma (prism). The extruded aluminum columns are 80/20 10 series. I design the plastic parts in OpenSCAD and printed them on my friend's Prusa Mendel printer. It uses Ultimachines.com RAMPS 1.4 board and SeeMeCNC hot end.

I made a few mods since the video. I did move the extruded to the top because of the delay on retraction. Cut 17" off the PTFE. I also modified the carriage to use 2 ball bearings per axle. I'm still trying to figure out retraction. Still evaluating SeeMeCNC hot end since I'm still dealing with quality issues.

Awesome! What model steppers are you using? They are awfully quiet.

Surely not weight. He suggested on printer top not on the hot end. Mine is on top.

Why don't you put the extruder on the top of the printer. I can understand that you don't want to put the extruder on the toolhead, but at the bottom of the printer will cause a whole heap of lag in the extrusion. I see more than enough space on the top of the machine,

What is the max build height? definetly like the 80/20 extrutions over the smoth rod design.
