There are many ways to defend ourselves before pulling out guns. Being open and communicating is not only a defense but a prevention for the future. listening, understanding, then responding... listening, understanding, then responding... listening, understanding, then responding...

Guns are fucking awesome! They are great tools and are probably one of our most significant inventions. But each tool is used to make a certain change. Right now, much of the change being made with guns is to offend. There is good reason not to offend, therefore if we "put down our guns" we can stop the offence and concern ourselves with defence and go beyond that into having something more worth defending. (A better world/cosmos for all involved) Guns still exist in this scenario, differently.
