Here's my daughter's first ride on her Strider PreBike balance bike. Like most kids, she's just getting used to it and walking with the bike between her legs. We got her a bike helmet the next day.

  • Why are you guys pushing kids to ride this pedal less bike so early?why can't you get them a tricycle first?mine and my neighbours kids started riding tricycle independtly around 24 months and yes they enjoyed it evrybit.I don't have to worry about balancing too.what's the hurry?

  • @rupsub2000 -- The kids learn balancing naturally. They just walk with it for awhile, then get comfortable sitting down, then running with the bike. After that, they just learn to pick up their feet and glide. No one is pushing them to do anything they're not ready to do, and they have tons of fun playing with the bike. My daughter could barely put hers down for months. Since they can catch themselves with their feet whenever they need to, tipping over rarely happens - unlike with a trike.

  • @rupsub2000 One of the biggest benefits of the balance bikes is when your child moves to a bicycle (which is the real goal) they won't need training wheels and won't be afraid of falling. It is much, much harder for children to transition to a bike via trike because children are so afraid of falling because the trike doesn't teach them how to balance.

  • @rupsub2000 our kids have these bikes and they are way more fun than a trike and they are safer too. As soon as they got the strider they never touched the trikes again.

but I also have to say @leafknewbetter you are so cheesy in this video I am embarrassed for you. Don't let any of your hunting buddies see this or they will never talk to you again :)

Dude do some research tricycles are way more unstable and dangerous compared to these. I got my grandaughter a tricyle but I checked out the stability before I gabe it to her and it's really poor and easy to crash so she will never see it.

I'm gonna get her one of these instead.

  • @rupsub2000 so I guess you're one of the 3 that voted dislike on a video of a dad and his cute daughter on her first bike. What a loser!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • There is no pushing the child to do something with a strider bike anymore than there is introducing a trike. The kids love it. My son loves his and he was never pushed to do anything. In fact we gave him a trike first, he quickly abandoned it for the strider bike. He feels so confident and proud of himself on the strider bike, it was a HUGE hit in our house. And why would anyone worry about balancing, the kids learn to balance naturally on the balance bike and all in their own time!

  • I am interested in one of these because they are less prone to tip over than trikes especially on dirt. I do not think it is pushing your child to try one of these bikes.

  • Purchase Striders from NorCalStrider com. Free shipping and we'll pay the sales tax. All colors are in stock!

  • w my son it was little bit unpleasant feeling for him at first, so I took him off from the B as soon as he showed unconfortable, step by step, starting w really short rides he started to enjoy!
