Hey guys! I'm here with an entry for BooksMadeReality's Contest. I wasn't really sure what I was going to do. I wanted to do something based off of Witches of Eastwick, but that proved very difficult to make horribly emotional, so I chose to do something from the Mortal Instruments, which I love. I'm slightly addicted to those books (even though I'm only on City of Ashes. Please don't spoil it for me!!). I always loved Alec and thought that he was such an underrated character and didn't get enough exploration (at least, in the first two). So I decided to do a character study.
The emotion I chose was the emotion of feeling as though you need to hide who you are. Insecurity, I suppose. I think we all struggle with that. Especially Alec. I always felt for him when he hid his feelings or hid his true self. Thats something I have and still do struggle with- not caring what other people think and just being secure in yourself and loving yourself. This video looks at Alec's feelings towards Jace, his difficulty with Clary's relationship with Jace, his rocky relationship with Magnus and his closeness with his sister, Isabelle.
Music: It Doesn't Matter- Alison Krauss
