@ksalbrecht88 thank you

@AsianBurritos I had the game setting set all on high using the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 GPU. Portal 2 plays smoothly if you keep the CPU & GPU as cool as possible. I have a really nice cooling pad that I use to keep my laptop cool while playing games & it does a good job of keeping the game from lagging due to overheating. I have to say that ATI GPUs seem to be known for having a tendency to overheat... at least when compared to Nvidia GPUs.

I am getting Portal 2 for the same laptop and i just wanted to know : what settings was this gameplay shown on, does it lag on muiltiplayer, and does it play well at the end.

hey... could you do a review on Just Cause 2 demo for this pc? Its on steam. Thanks alot!!!
I have the same laptop, and it's horrible playing any games while not plugged in. High Performance also really boosts the speed. While plugged in, games run at very high speed.

@TheMjtmaster That is because this computer has a switchable GPU. It has the more powerful ATI Radeon HD 5470 for when it is plugged in & then it has the less powerful ATI Radeon HD 4250 which helps conserve battery when not plugged in.

Wow that's really hot for just surfing the web isn't it?

@rrey0456 No... 114 degrees is a considerably low temperature for a processor... like I said the point in which temperatures reach a potential damaging point is anything above 170 degrees.

Does laptop heat up with normal use when you not gaming and without the use of a cooling pad?

@rrey0456 It can get pretty warm... but no it doesn't overheat with normal use. Right now I am just browsing the web & my CPU is only 115 degrees fahrenheit. The temperature limit for my CPU is 170 degrees fahrenheit. At first when the computer is brand new it won't get nearly that hot... but after a while, in my case I've owned this laptop for 10 months, it has had time to collect dust on the inside & so it gets hot easier... I try to keep my processors below 150 degrees.
