Caretta Caretta Loggerhead Turtle Spotting Zakynthos (Zante)

Fantastic speed boat trip with Captain Spiros of ZanteLevante in Zakynthos (Zante) Greece August 2009, to look for the beautiful endangered species of Loggerhead Turtle (Caretta Caretta). In the protected areas, few boats are allowed and they must slow to 5 Knots maximum speed. We were rewarded after around an hour of cruising slowly through these protected waters. We saw three turtles during this time and it wasn't too easy to capture the second that it comes up for air. They can dive for up to 45 minutes or more between surfacing for air.
