that women was not killed by a pepper ball...all a pepper ball is, is a paintball, but instead of paint inside, its just a pepper powder..she was killed by a supposedly "non-lethal" round shot by an FN303, since the accident they have developed new rounds that have less of an impact and will not kill

The ring idea is also stupid. What if the cops are ambushed and his better arm is injured, and in the adrenaline of the situation, pulls it out with his weaker hand without the ring and fry his gun. So much for being "Law Enforcement" while hiding behind a car calling for back up with a firearm that self destructed. Or even so much simpler! The gun does not sense the ring, or he pulls the trigger before it can read it! Also, bringing chips into guns sounds like a fucking RECIPE for disaster!

There are thousands of things that could go wrong. They could perhaps invent a flash bang launcher, like the design of an under barrel grenade launcher like an M203, only on the rail of a pistol (And make it smaller so it fits), so you can't "accidentally" kill someone whether you meant it or not.

A multiple barrel weapon is by far the worst idea I have ever heard. Accidental discharges happen all the time. Could you imagine. I thought I had my phazer to stun not kill....
I have heard of the ring associated with the weapon idea and I think it is somewhat a good one. However, that is just another thing to go wrong when seconds count. May save lives but could take lives just the same.

@lythium4269 WTF a pepperball is not gelatin like people think they are hard plastic shells filled with some nasty stuff and they are shot way over the FPS limit around 350-375fps compared to a field which is 280-320 tops.....
