Well they still shut down because of shortage of parts from JAPAN that means that most of there parts come from JAPAN GM would not shut down because Mexico was having hard time that makes them more American than Toyota and April isn't here yet they article I read said April 2012 Toyota will be out of parts from JAPAN

Man this commercial is old. That silverado sure is beautiful. Too bad it doesn't have a defective accelerator pedal. Those are pretty fun u don't need to keep ur foot on the gas it does it for you. Good old Toyota with your pedals.

and even though some of the big 3 are made in mexico that does not make them mexican because the parts still come from the US and they are still designed in the US and all of the money still comes back to the US the US is just paying for cheep labor tax free just like JAPAN is doing to us say for example if we shut down the plant in mexico it would not affect the big 3 nowhere near as bad as japan shutting down theirs because the parts for mexico are still coming from the US and the $ is US

@stephen4177 hey toyo boy you should go online and read the news about toyota shutting down all of there northamercan production in april because of a shortage of parts from JAPAN because of the earthquake and isunami now why would they have to do that if there parts are built in the US you explain that one to me 25000 emploees will be layed off because parts are not coming from JAPAN toyota is still JAPANEES and always will be
