that is true.. the only thing i notice is cats defending other cats... Like when my dog bosses around the kitten for its food, my really big tabby comes and beats the shit out of him... lol... interesting behaviour though

The cat doesn't use the claws before they warn. Cat is giving the warning sound later as you can hear. After that it would use its claws. Cats are fair like that. They warn first. The first little punching along is to get the dog off and she would keep her claws in otherwise we wouldn't see the dog still jagging it's tail. After that she warns the dog with that specific sound.
