With regards to Prof. Cohn portraying the Hizballah as a "resistance movement". The Israeli occupation of the "Shab'a Farms" is very different than its occupation of the Palestinian territories. Firstly, there is no international agreement that these territories are in fact Lebanese, rather than Syrian. Israel would return these lands to Syria in a peace treaty. More importantly, the Shab'a Farms are not populated. It's just a small bulk of land. That's all.

Regarding the categorical boycotting of Israel. Such as measure would be counterproductive, since it puts all Israelis in one basket, not discriminating between those supporting a just peace and those opposing it. It makes the fallacy of identifying Israel with a particular Israeli foreign policy. It will be received in Israel by wall-to-wall condemnation and resistance.

Prof. Abdel-Nour's analysis of Israel's casus bellum is 100% correct, and can in fact be proven by quoting from the Israeli political and military leaders at the time.
