  • Nice video. I just purchased one of these. For perfectly straight cuts, have you ever thought about making a jig that the head of the shear will fit into and guide it, so it has no choice but to go perfectly straight? I'm currently trying to figure out the best way to do this. I'm thinking two piece of tube steel with clamps on the end would work best. I need to make a lot of precise cuts, but I'm currently on a budget so I'm hoping this system will be a good alternative to a press shear.

  • @dannynanner The only thing I have thought of doing is grinding down the sides so that they are flat and will ride along a straight edge.

Your idea of using tubing sounds like it has some real possibilities.

  • @dannynanner Also, for anyone who found the Harbor Freight manual to be useless, try using the Grizzly manual. As far as I can tell, it's the exact same piece of equipment. Google "grizzly swivel head shear manual".

  • i have one of the same shears i love it it works great

  • George, I bought one of these after seeing your use of it. It is very handy!
