If you speak German, I recommend reading Mozart's letters to his family, especially his sister. They are a bit hard to understand due to the language of the time period (and he was Austrian), but he was such a sweet and affectionate guy who treated his sister with such love and respect. And he uses such boisterous and sometimes silly words. There is a compilation of his letters at the UCLA music library. Reading English is boring to me so it was a really enjoyable challenge!
