Warren: Nature Inclines Me To Have Sex With Every Beautiful Woman, But That Doesn't Make It Right.

Rick Warren had a surprisingly candid response to Ann Curry's question as to whether he would change his views on homosexuality if it were established that people are born gay. The pastor of the Saddleback Church, explaining why such a finding wouldn't cause him to change his position, observed that he is inclined to want to have sex with every beautiful woman he sees, but that that doesn't make it right.
Curry interviewed Warren for a Dateline segment that will be aired tonight on NBC. As noteworthy as Warren's candor was Curry's ostentatious display of righteous liberal anger, captured in the screengrab, while asking Warren whether he is homophobic.

  • I don`t so what`s so funny about that...what he said is true.

  • Wow, what a pathetic attempt at journalism. This interview was totally edited to give the worst possible impression of Rick, and the snooty sarcastic comments directed at him and his church just shows how partisan NBC is. I happen to be a long-standing attender of Saddleback and can attest to the humility and philanthropy of Rick. This type of ridiculous and unfair framing of people does nothing to solve or address any real issues. Whoever posted this should be ashamed.

  • @n2jesus419 your given up to a reprobate mind. Romans 1:26-28

  • The idea of bringing "biology" into it is part of the problem. Nowhere in the Bible does it say he's created man to lust after every woman. It's not "biology"; but sexual lust. Society glorifies all lusts. We each are predisposed to certain types of lusts in our fallen nature, but it's hardly 1:1 ratio 4 all men. Christian men need 2 speak up on this 2 broaden the discussion re: homosexuality. God delivers from all lusts; we just don't want him to, not really. We love our lusts more than him.

  • There is a difference between "loving a man" and have a romantic/sexual relationship with a man. And the Bible is very clear that a man having a sexual relationship with a man is wrong. The gospel is so great, that I am willing to give up anything for it.

  • what verse in the bible does it say that you can't love men?

i've been trying to find it......

  • And trust me, it's really hard to stay on the right path when Christians think you are "gross" or sinful for just being tempted while the gay community stands there with open arms ready to accept you non-judgmentally. It seems kinda backwards from what the church is supposed to be. And I'm saying the church should accept the people like me who want to not give in to their homosexual desires, not openly gay people who are living in sin and thinking they are not living in sin.

  • I don't know what you think about orientation, but it's really not a choice. However, we do have a choice of whether or not to act on it. Trust me, I never would have chosen a homosexual orientation. I honestly just want some Christians to talk about the issue in a loving way so people like me can have someone come alongside us and help us to stay on the right path.

  • umm... I don't think you understand what I'm saying. I'm not justifying the lifestyle. In fact, I said that even if people were born gay (which science has proven otherwise, but people ignore that), it doesn't justify it being morally right. Especially since the Bible says we are born with a sin nature. I think the lifestyle is wrong and sinful which is why I have chosen not to live it.

  • The answer to your questin is,no.I'm not agreeing with you.I'm sorry that you have to go to another source other than the Bible to justify that lifesyle, biology is not a excuse for anything.I am not condeming you as a person,I personally have my own struggles, but it's still not anexcuse.
