1985 was the year i actually saw the Maestro for the 1st time up close with my own 2 eyes being only 18 years old..i was familiar with his mindblowing style since '83 through rumour and hearing tapes..but to actually experience it up close..wow!
I was absolutely blown away just like everybody else;he was the talk of the town alright let me tell ya.
And i'm glad he still among us doin' his thing,bless him.

@z1g2012 very true and i couldnt agree more but IMHO jason becker was already slightly more evolved than yngwie even in '85 but maybe thats not fair to say considering that they make completely different music but both exhibit unparalleled showmanship...

@TrollRaper69 I couldn't agree more.Just thinking about where guitar playing as whole was back in 1985 and Yngwie was just at a whole different level.From tone to technique to showmanship. Just larger than life IMO.
