Toni Braxton hopsitalized with chest pains

Hello I'm Rebecca Field with today's UPI entertainment update on this Wednesday, April 9, 2008.

Toni Braxton is taking it easy after a short stay at the hospital. The singer's rep says she was admitted to a facility in Las Vegas Monday night for chest pains. She's apparently now in "good condition." The Grammy winning singer has spoken publicly in the past about having a heart condition an hypertension. Braxton has reportedly been performing in Vegas five nights a week since 2006.

Mary-Louise Parker and Jeffrey Dean Morgan are reportedly calling off their engagement. A source close to them says the "Weeds" actress broke it off with Morgan. There's no word on why it ended. The two got engaged earlier this year after a two year relationship.

Patrick Swayze says he's responding well to cancer treatment. The actor and his wife tell People magazine they're "thrilled and grateful" that Swayze has has such a positive reaction to treatments for pancreatic cancer. The couple also thanked fans for their continuous support. The "Dirty Dancing" star announced last month he was diagnosed with the disease and has apparently been getting chemotherapy.

Longtime pals Renee Zellweger and George Clooney were in London yesterday for the European premiere of their new film Leatherheads. The two star in the comedy and Clooney also directed it. The new movie is a romance set in the 1920's...focused around football. It first opened in the U.S. last week.

Former "American Idol" contestant Clay Aiken is a leaving a print on New York's Planet Hollywood. The singer was at the famous restaurant to leave his handprints in cement. Aiken was there also to promote his new role in the Broadway show "Spamalot."
