Barth is a DINO. He likely would have acted like a lame duck instead of the noble congressman he thought he would be. Varilek was a slippery rat who's intention of running for congress wasn't obvious. Was he running for South Dakotans, or was he running to get another straight-party Dem. vote in congress under the ruse of being "honest South Dakotan".

Noem had experience and her intentions were obvious. The only way to run against her was to attack her, and that's where Varilek failed.

My husband's grandmother came from South Dakota - but we're in Northern Illinois. If I lived in SD I'd vote for this guy though.
