Lets say for example that a person has a particular illness: liver disease, intestinal disease of some kind, heart disease, kidney disease, any disease. It doesnt matter what it is. If you visualize that life force as a light or as a positive bright color, any way you chose to visualize it, every breath you take flowing into that part of you that is ill. If youve got a cold and youve got stuffed up lungs, you can breathe that life force into your lungs. You can breathe it into your nasal passages. You can focus on sending it there. Energy follows intention. Whatever your intention is, that life force is going to go there. Its going to help you in that part of your system, whatever it is. So, visualization helps. Intention helps. Focus helps and meditation facilitates clearer focus on what you may perceive as either internal or external life issues. If youre meditating on a quote problem, a situation, a difficulty, something you want to achieve, youre going to be able to come up with more ideas, more thoughts because when youre doing that, youre bringing the energy, that life force and youre focusing it within you on that topic. Your mind starts to work more clearly. Youre focusing all your energy, all your thought, all your capacity on resolving that issue. Do you think its going to get resolved a little easier than if youre in the midst of trying to multitask?
Just asking. Youre in a safe non stressed and nonjudgmental space of your own mind. You can look at your foibles. You can look at your difficulties. You can look at the things that youve criticized yourself for. You can look at the things that other people have criticized you for in a space of safety and you can say: Whoa, do they have a point? Are they right? Am I right? Having I been judging myself too much? Is there some grain of truth in this situation? Is there some lesson here for me? Youre not necessarily going to get it of you dont focus on it. Meditation facilitates the development of internal focus on whatever you want to focus on. Excellent. There are dozens and dozens and dozens of benefits to meditation, okay? Dozens. Pick your reason. Pick your motivation: I want to be happier; I want to be more peaceful; I want to be more effective; I want to be more conscious. Whatever your motivation is, focus on that motivation and utilize that as your springboard to meditating more. Youll get there, if you go with it patiently, non judgmentally and in a manner that is based on self love, attainment of inner harmony, integration and peace.
Thanks! Good stuff makes sense.
