I'm not aware of any military study on kids, I know they did a study on depleted uranium and soldiers and found no significant health effects. So they do look, contrary to your imagination. If you're saying they haven't done one on kids, it's because there's no reason to. All of the other effects of war are much worse than the trivial DU exposure.
