Better known as 'Lofty' Sugden from the British TV comedy series 'It 'Ain't Half Hot Mum', Don Estelle had a hit with this song back in the mid-1970's alongside co-star Windsor Davies.

This performance was filmed at the Classic Fighters 2003 airshow in Blenheim, New Zealand, a short five months before Don died in August 2003

  • He doesn't look good and it's a sad ending but next time you hear this song, think of good old Don singing his heart out to the end. I think he'd like that. This is real soul music. And he retained that beautiful voice. There are singers today who don't sound half as good, with all their boom and vocoders and whatever technical gadgets they employ to cover up their thin, weedy voices.

  • Ididn't know he had moved to New Zealand? I love his voice this made me cryx

  • Very sad to see Don looking so frail. Saw this one under another clip and had to look but couldn't watch it all. This isn't the guy I met back in 86.

  • Very sad really, should have been enjoying his retirement, instead worked till he dropped, his relatives should hang their heads, you should look after your family.

  • true about that but look at elvis how he was exploited by his manager he pushed him into doing things he didnt want to do like films

  • @110665bigguy well look at most old singers/tv/film people do their things as long as they can , look at tommy cooper who died on stage doing what he loved but hey least he had 1 last sing song before he died :/

  • why do they make people do this when they are poorly he died not long after this he was 70 years old shame on his family and friends

  • I feel embarrassed for him. Stupid old puffin. :(
