from the album "Heartland Holiday" by Peter Ostroushko, et alia.
LYRICS:
Bright morning stars are rising
Bright morning stars are rising
Bright morning stars are rising
Day is a-breaking in my soul
Oh where is our dear father?
Oh where is our dear father?
He is down in the valley a-praying
Day is a-breaking in my soul
Oh, where is our dear mother?
Oh, where is our dear mother?
She is up in heaven a-shouting
Day is a-breaking in my soul.
Bright morning stars are rising
Bright morning stars are rising
Bright morning stars are rising
Day is a-breaking in my soul.
(C) Peter Ostroushko 2005
well, you can ride a hjorse to death, and you can sing a song to death, and exactly this is what happened here. such an awful lot of... curlicue around the melody-line (?? i am not english..) again: listen to "my" version and experience what a good interpretation is. don´t moan before you listened. and maybe (again) you can help who the singers are.
i know, one should not argue about taste, but this here is really way toooo much

Everyone has a style that moves them...just enjoy the music. It is a very moving and beautiful hymn, no matter how it is done. I like it, that is all that matters...but I like The Wailin Jennys version better.
