german jet fighters
The Heinkel He 280 was the first turbojet-powered fighter aircraft in the world. It was inspired by Ernst Heinkel's emphasis on research into high-speed flight and built on the company's experience with the He 178 jet prototype. A combination of technical and political factors led to it being passed over in favor of the Messerschmitt Me 262. Only nine were built and none reached operational status.

  • The 262 was the first jet fighter to reach COMBAT STATUS. The Meteor? Who cares!

  • Gloster Meteor have no chance to a ME 262 , he was more faster , and the Horten IX was with ME 262 the best WW2 Aircraft.

  • @2805alexander If the Hawker Tempest and P-51 Mustang could manage to shoot down the Me-262 then I'm sure the Meteor would've had no problem. The Meteor was also 40mph faster than the Me-262

  • @Xiolablu3

    The Gloster meteor suffered in the second world war from avarice oscillations with Mach figures of 0.74 and higher which limited her suitability as a hunting airplane strongly. This problem appeared with all ray hunters made in the second world war without swept-back wing, was coined with the meteor, however, especially strongly. These problems with the shock waves with higher Machbereichen were solved by the Britons only after the end of the war by the use of swept-back wings.

  • @2805alexander

    it was not finished,the ME 262 had the first flight in July of 1942,then the tests began.The production began in the spring of the year 1944.

  • @Kaarlo I don't think. The second world war came out of Treaty of Versailles. With or without Hitler we would have it.

  • HE-280 was ready for production in 1941, 3 years before Meteor, but stupid leaders not have credits in brain to recognise potential of jet-interceptor and fighters;

  • @2805alexander Yes of course, Hitler temporaly stopped Me262 ,without himself interventions, Me262 will be operational in year 1943. Tiger1 tank was proposed after Battle of France -just because French CharB1bis and Matilda2 tank performed stronger in battle than panzer4; Hitler launched Barbarosa-plane BEFORE any operational Tiger1 units, and that alowed Soviet defences of Leningrad and counter-attack in Moscow-battle with KV-1E and T34-76 tanks.This Soviet tanks outclased Panzer4

  • @truthspeaker969 You guys should remember, there probably would have not been war at all without Hitler...

  • absolute Spitzentechnologie zu dieser Zeit.

  • On takeoffs and landings!! Xiolablu3 youre an typical retard!! The F3 had compresibility problems because they didnt had "swept wings" what is extramly important and it wasnt as fast as the me 262 comn! and it was heavier than the me 262 and a top speed of 485-510 mph!

  • yes ok, if the would not have been nazis they could have won the war :)

    but if they weren´t Nazis they wouldn´t fought

    for "Lebensraum im Osten", yeah if they only had to deal with England and France, they would have probably won..., but after they attacked the UdSSR the USA had to join the war sooner or later, and Hitler the fool did it for them, and with the USA joining the war was lost through inferior production capacity.
