This Crash cymbal, stamped "Zilco By Azco", was made between 1968 and 1970, when Zildjian first opened their new Canadian factory in New Brunswick. "Azco" stands for "Avedis Zildjian Company" and this factory eventually became known as Sabian. It has a lot of similarities to the U.S.-made Avedis Zildjians of that time, except it's lathed only, having no hammering.
Like those old Avedis cymbals back in the day, this one sounds different depending where you strike it. It's best as a Crash though, and due to the light weight (1385 grams), it has a nice, dark, stormy wash and crash sound.
Sticks are Headhunters Maple Grooves (wood tips). Unfortunately, my camera doesn't accurately capture the stick definition, because the wash overwhelms the cam's microphone. In reality, you can hear the definition when doing the stick rolls.
thats one of the worst sounding crashes iv ever heard
