  • Its sad to know that this is the greatest piece of calorie burner ever invented. Yet few people will ever know this!!

I got this by accident cause my mom bought it when she was in the states. I have never used anything that burns calories and builds a bruce lee type of defined sculpted muscles as this ski machine.

This is without a doubt the greatest fitness equipment ever made.

Funny how life is sometimes the best things are hidden.

  • been using mine since 96. It really is the best workout machine. Takes a while to get used to it in the beginning, but once you get a hang of it, nothing compares to it's ability to work the entire body.

  • Newbie tips:

1.) Crank up the tension on the skis (pull the strap on the spring). This helps you stay standing up as your stride "ends."

2.) Tie new knots for the handles, to make the ropes shorter. This helps you stay standing up. Dig in, hold handles like ski poles

3.) Try just the legs at first.

4.) The machine is good for tall or short people, you may need to adjust it to fit YOUR arm and leg length.

5.) Amazing upper and lower body workout, no impact = no knee or hip pain.

  • They are not out of business -- maybe where this lady lives? They have a website.

  • Some people simply don't have the balance and coordination to use this machine. I own one. Love it. Saves my knees and the pounds just melt away. There's no shortage of people that can't even stand on it without injuring themselves, much less attempt a workout however.

  • got mine for free from a friend never been used...he is a fool! I love this machine!

  • I bought my first Classic Pro Skier model from the company in 1991. I lost weight and started building muscle tone almost immediately. I bought my 2nd. for $50 in 2003 from a co-worker who bought it, used it once and put it in storage (what a deal!). They're great. It's the only thing I've ever been able to stick with consistently. It is proof positive that you don't have to spend a fortune on some sophisticated piece of equipment to get something that produces real, lasting results.

  • not as easy as it looks. When i first started using mine in 94, i thought i could handle an hour on this thing- 20 minutes whipped my ass. Of course, i was overweight at the time, too.

  • I just bought a NordicTrack Elite built in 1993 for $40. It is mostly wood. I am excited to learn how to properly use the machine.

  • I am 57, I just got mine through Craigslist for $100. It works wonderfully. After 3 weeks, I've gotten the hang of it and I'm doing a kilometer 3 times a day. No knee impact as with running. No need to go to a gym and change into a swimsuit. No need to wait for good weather. It's wonderful!

My question: why is this marvellous machine out of stock at the company that makes them? You can't place an order, and it says it may not return to stock.

  • Yeah I can tell it's a finely made machine:)

Very well engineered and fun/comfortable to use.

If ANY other exercise device could be said to be as well made as your Nordictrack it's Tony Little's Gazelle:)
