he has an apparatus tied to his forarm that folds very fast upon very fast hand movement, note that he does not let the cage in any other unstable way before his trick.

@aparach thats not the real method fortunately :) actually all the magic trick's methods in that movie are exaggerated and far more complicated than the real ones , but Im sure many people were impressed by your ability to watch a movie and claim that it was fact for the sole amusement of upstaging a 15 year old.
