Little cottontail rabbit wants to see what I'm doing.

There are actually two of them. They are rescued wild cottontails and will be released when they are old enough. They came from our friend Jill's brother. They were in the middle of his yard after he cut the grass. Their eyes were closed and the mother didn't come back for them after being outside for two days. This video is mainly for Jill to see but I made it public so everyone else could see it. I'll be making a compilation video of them after their release. This video has not been edited. I am using SOME of the guidelines from http://www.squirrelworld.com/RabRehab.html to rehab them. I will go into more detail of what I did in the next video.

  • Do you ever find it hard to keep Keyah and the rabbit apart? :)

  • We kept the rabbits in a seperate room.

  • Seeing this bunny made me smile. However was it ever difficult seeing that you have a fox and rabbits are one of their snacks? I have a dog who likes to attack any other animals but dogs, so we can't bring any other kinds of animals in our house. It's kind of a drag.

  • It wasn't difficult. I just kept the rabbits in our guest bathroom until they were old enough to release.

  • aww that put a smile on my face. It really made my day. Also why are you going to release them? Or is it better for them to be back in the wild?

  • I released them because they were wild orphans. If they were born in captivity it would have been different.
