Wow I used to watch my mom play this game when I was about 7, loved it, she beat it too, nice to relive something i saw so long ago... We were so dissapointed they never continued the series...

@LizardLESL the city doesn't have an end. it was supposed to be like a hub for the other games. like the revelations entrance you see here, there was an entrance into the wilderness and the arena, which to my knowledge were never made. you could access the entrance but since the game doesn't exist you can't really go through. for a long time I hoped for the others, then when Elder Scrolls: The Arena came out my immediate thought was of Alternate Reality.

The devourer was a simple mechanism in the game that dealt with a character holding too many items (or so I've heard) and would come and radomly devour one of your items once you had too many for the game to deal with. Supposedly if you stayed below a certain number it would never come... honnestly I've never tested it but sounds feasible

the reason was because of limited memory the game had. if you collect too much stuff he will come to keep the game from crashing
