This video starts with the PBV (Publishing and Broadcasting Video) opening logo sequence, featuring the labels it distributed throughout Australia in the mid 1980s on a rotating block. Individuals logos then follow on from it EXCEPT for 'Film World Festival', which I have never found, at this stage anyway.
The video is as follows:
* PBV Opening Logo Sequence
* Star Video Opening Logo [not the early 'rainbow grid' version]
* Embassy Home Entertainment
* Embassy Home Entertainment Still Logo [used for opening and closing]
* Australian Video Opening Logo
* Australian Video 'Preview Advice' Logo
* Playaround Video Opening Logo
* Playaround Video Closing Logo [still]
* The Storytime Collection Opening Logo
* Muppet Home Video Opening Logo
* Muppet Home Video Logo [just prior to movie - note that it follows on very quickly from the one before it in this video. It looks like it is one logo, but it is not. On the home video, in between these logos are trailers]
* Muppet Home Video Opening Logo [alternative version]
* MGM / UA Home Video Opening Logo
* MGM / UA Home Video Opening Logo [with trailer and promo sequence]
Note that the 'rainbow grid' version of Star Video is viewable as a separate upload.
These logos were derived from the following Australian home video releases:
* Final Exam (PBV)
* The Executioner's Song (Star Video)
* Prom Night & The Howling (Embassy Home Entertainment)
* Hoodwink (Australian Video - both)
* Candy Candy / Little Lulu (Storytime Collection)
* Slaughter in San Francisco (Playaround Video - both)
* The Frog Prince (Muppet Home Video - first two)
* The Dark Crystal (Muppet Home Video - third one)
* Endangered Species (MGM / UA - first. Forgot where I got the second promo one)
@ChowderFlapjackFan94 Because Kermit is the heart and soul of the Muppets. Why do ask? Are you giving up all these years with the frog for some strange character as a fraggle?

@Suitsnappy No. I thought it was a kids' video distributor many moons ago, but it's actually a distributor of B-rate horror films and rock concerts...
@AussieRoadshow ...correct me if I'm wrong.

Was Playaround Video a porn distributor? {{o_0}}

Hello, I'm a collector of Star Video VHS/Betamax, promo items, posters, etc, particularly the Muppet or Bruce Lee films that were released. If anybody is interested in selling/trading, please drop me a line. Cheers.

The music on the Australian Video is "Waltzing Matilda", isn't it?

@ChowderFlapjackFan94 Duh, cause he's the star! It's so obvious!

@WhatsAYak I doubt it. This Playaround was from Australia, the one you mentioned was American, I believe.
Then again, there was Wizard Video and Wizard Video Games...

Is that the same Playaround responsible for the handful of X-rated Atari 2600 games released in 82-83?
WhatsAYak 1 year ago
@AussieRoadshow "Flash", by Keith Mansfield...it was only used on the pilot, but the music for the actual series was based heavily off it!

Why does Kermit have to appear in every muppet-related logo?
