Dan Shea of Veterans for Peace Chapter 72 interviews Helane' Wahbeh, ND, MCR, assistant professor at Oregon Health & Science University, Department of Neurology.

Wahbeh is currently beginning a research study to examine the different aspects of mindfulness meditation as part of an effort to find new ways to treat combat-related post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

  • This is great, Dan- thank you so much for letting us know about this study for the treatment of PTSD. I appreciate what you are doing- I know there hasn't been nearly enough work in the area and it's a long time coming for those of you in past wars and even too late for many in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.
