Narrated by Walter Cronkite, each episode of War & Civilization takes an in-depth look at the history of war, seemingly one of humanity's favorite pastimes. Based on the work of noted historian John Keegan, each entry is the history of an important development in the evolution of armed conflict from technological breakthroughs to tactical innovations. In this episode, viewers take a look at the impact of the horse on warfare, an innovation that allowed rulers to carry warfare beyond their own boundaries. The tactics of Atilla the Hun are examined, as are the rise and arc of mounted cavalry groups.
@bsapaka Full plate armor came around in the 15th century, but partial plate armor worn with chain mail hauberks first developed in the 13th century.

The Vikings had to raid other places, The christians would not trade with non believers, and Iceland had no people before the Vikings, and the convert or die practice of christians is not told about in most history!!
