I want to go lighter because it seems like it will bring out my eye color more. sadly I do think you are right, I dont think I should do permanent color because I am not ready and comfortable enough to deal with the maintenance/breakage. I tried rinses, but the color never seems to come out right. since I been in between this rock and a hard place: I just stay my regular color :(

This was so so SO helpful. I started my hair journey about 2 weeks ago and I got my mom to start too. She colors her hair often and her hair is not healthy. Traycee that color is beautiful and WOW you were REALLY light at one time! Thank you for warning those who aren't as experienced as you about color/double processing our hair. I went to a LICENSED SYLIST for my relaxer and color and I may have to do a BIG CHOP to get rid of the damage because a PROFESSIONAL didn't know what they were doing.
