@Stevie764 I know your comment is a year old, but the music speeds up so that way your score can add up faster. You don't want to wait an eternity for your score to add up. The same thing happens in the NES version, but with different music.

Just got a top score of 613.360 on this, I used to play this for hours on my childhood. Nice to see people still interested in this. :)

Not all that surprising, seeing as Commodore originally designed the VIC-20 for the Japanese market.
