Neither Singapore nor Dubai, the best examples for Equatorial Guinea, are democracies. So it is not essential. What is important is an efficient Government which can find solutions to the problems of the people and build the DUBAI or SINGAPORE of Africa.
Equatorial Guinea has the resources and the geographical situation, apart from a good weather and great Nature. So there is no place in Africa so well placed to build an African Dubai and Singapore.
Trade, construction, tourism...

Wow! I remember being fascinated by this bizarre country as a child, having no pics for reference except two or three. Now we have the net...Amazing! Per economic development, Africa suffers from the same malaise found in Latin America ; a corrput political culture with venal politicos who think public revenues are their property.
