One of the MAIN reasons (other than John Wayne) that I loved the movie "Rio Bravo" was because of this specific music -- Dimitri Tiomkin was a fantastic composer for that movie (and other westerns) and I really still love his music, which I listen to on Pandora.com every day!

I am a 10th Generation Texan and proud of the heros of the Alamo. It was so brave and the Mexican Army was defeated at San Jacinto!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL FUCK THE ALAMO.
Texas was stolen from Mexico. Read your fucking history stupid.

Heroes, maybe. Shitty strategists, definitely.

@Setheus1619 You mean like the illegals who cross boarders learn the language and assimilate? Those who came to Texas as it's called today, were no more opportunists, than the Spaniards who wiped out a whole people and civilization for Gold.. Those of us, who's ancestors, for whatever reason, came to new lands to raise their families, and create a future for their progeny.. Anyone who's looking for freedom are opportunists. Great stuff! I'm reading the historical fiction novel "Eyes Of Eagles" by William Johnstone right now, and the last half of the book is basically about the seige at The Alamo. Looked up this song because of it. What a delight to find this version and accompanying video.

I love the effect of the multiple horns and the rifle fire.

really? they had cheesy 80's sawtooth synthesizer leads in 1836. I find this fascinating both as a musician and a historian...

If you do not know most of the defender of the Alamo were Masons. Hell yes we need more honorable and men of truth. God Bless Texas
Those were different men than those we have allegedly "leading" us today. With a few exceptions, I'd gladly trade the whole crowd in Washington for those men who died at the Alamo. Hell, I'd also trade them for those 30 American warriors who perished in that chopper in Afghanistan.

@SargentMerdy Just another liberal hate monger that by the grace of God (or illegal entry) is fortunate enough to live in this country. You have no legitimate arguments, so you proceed to tear down what generations have built in America. Well, true Americans are getting tired of it, and the back lash is here.
