My adoption story,

For my baby girl born Oct 1st, 2009. I made this movie for her so she would know a little bit more about me and whyI gave her up. We have an open adoption so I get pics and letters but I still miss her dearly. I love you Peanut.

this brought tears to my eyes. lol things like this always do. i know first hand how strong you have to be to go through this! out of this whole situation, i only have one regret.. and that regret is simply that I didn't hold my baby more. I held her one time. i have tons of fears for the future though. but i focus more on the positive side. i made someone's world. i completed someone's family. i gave a child abetter home than if she would have stayed with me.

I am a thirty year old adoptee... and just located my birthmother... I just want you to know that as an adoptee we never stop thinking about our "real" parents.. The bond you share with your daughter is unable to be broken by distance or time. You are a part of her whether she is with you or not.. Your selfless act and unending love you have for her will one day be returned to you.. The day she comes for you again.

@elesha76 not everyone chooses adoption the same. some people are in situations where their child would be basically raised in daycare while they worked to have a roof to sleep under, and want their kid to be raised by a stay at home parent. some have emotional or physical problems that would make being the best parent possible difficult. some are in abusive situations & don't want to live in fear even if they can escape.

no parent WANTS to let go - rest assured there's ALWAYS a good reason.

Oh my God, that song. There are no words. I am an adoptee and also an adopted mother. Being on both sides of the equation has turned me into one very sentimental and emotional woman. God bless you for making the choice you made. You are wonderful and strong.

Theres nothing anyone could give her that is better than her mum, no clothes or toys or houses. Just her mum and love. Young girls thinkt they will get there lifes back but you dont. If asked my kids would you rather me or a rich family with heaps of stuff. I know they would choose me.
