Yea I landed like that while jumping my 15 set stairs barefoot and bruised my heel.

Still to walk hurts after 3 days.

David Belle doesn't even land like that! study his vids for proof, her uses he uperbody alot more and leans forward instead of having his legs squat and break!

Yeah shoes are very good at taking the stress from your feet.

Should be noted this is a absolute last option. This will give you damage to your knees with continued usage. I personally only use it when a roll is not an option. (Perhaps because something is in the way)

Your not mean't to bend your knees anything less than 90 degrees or at least not much under but as soon as you feel you can't help it go into a break roll.
