The Book of Mormon, like the Bible, contains a record of God's dealings with a part of the House of Israel. It contains prophecies of Christ and also reveals how Christ, after his resurrection and ascension into heaven, later ministered to those who had waited for him in the New World. The Book of Mormon was anciently abridged by a prophet named Mormon and was engraved on gold plates, to preserve the sacred writing for a future time.

Joseph Smith received the divine commission to translate the gold plates through the power of God. The translation was published in 1830 as a volume of scripture, a sacred record.

We invite all people everywhere to read the Book of Mormon, to ponder in their hearts the message it contains, and then to ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if the book is true. Those who pursue this course and ask in faith will gain a testimony of its truth and divinity by the power of the Holy Ghost.

Those who gain this divine witness from the Holy Spirit will also come to know by the same power that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, that Joseph Smith is his revelator and prophet in these last days, and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord's kingdom once again established on the earth, preparatory to the second coming of the Messiah.

"The Book of Mormon is true, just what it purports to be, and for this testimony I expect to give an account in the Day of Judgment." (Encyclopedia, 86-87) - Joseph Smith, Jr.

  • @7he7ruthHurts Well, the fact that you didn't know that you haven't noticed that there's no coins mentioned in The Book Of Mormon doesn't make that statement very reliable ;) (or maybe you did know it but don't wanted to use it anyways, who knows).

    Have a good day sir.

  • Where is Zarahemla ?

  • The backyard professor has BLOCKED me .. .Hebraic B of M Of course the book of mormon sounds hebrew it quotes extensively from the hebrew book. like 20 some chapters of Isaiah . NHM = Nahom It is suggested that the pronunciation of NHM is unknown and may not relate to Nahom at all is mormon wishful thinking. Where did JosephSmith get the name ? A. The King James version of the bible. Nahom as a variant of the Biblical names Naham (1 Chron. 4:19), Nehum (Ne. 7:7) and Nahum (Na. 1:1).

  • Are there more than 13 million that believe these stories? There are 2 billion Muslims that believe Mohameds stories.

  • There is no EVIDENCE presented in this video.

  • @WildernessOfTruth ..what's your point . ? none are validated through archeology.

    name one ?

BTW NHM does not equal NAHOM

  • @Thebraversword remarkable similarities. Not only the story , but the concept of hebrew jews is not an original of Joseph Smith. JS plagiarised the bible complete with 17th century english he also plagiarised the book by Ethan Smith "Views of the Hebrews " in print in 1820

  • View of the Hebrews and the Book of Mormon are way to similar.
