Well this is my praying mantis enclosure, it just a plastic fish/mice tank which I drilled some holes into the bottom for water drainage, there are some ferns in there, some baby tears ground cover and some English ivy (I think), the substrate is made up of some peat moss with rocks at the bottom to prevent the peat moss draining out.

Please check out my frog vivarium:

  • What size tank is that?

    It looks great.

  • What kind of mantis are you keeping. I am going to get two ghost mantises soon.

  • I have a chinese giant mantis in a 5 galllon hexagon w/ a bonsai schefflera and a bromeliad, and some sundews. the mantis loves crawling on the aerial roots on the schefflera, and since North Carolia nearly mirrors the climate of subtropical china/Japan, and these bugs are naturalized, no shortage of being able to find one. Nice vivarium. simple, but I am usualy OCD over my setups so mine are usualy OVER detailed. but nice setup, nice plants, and IDC what others say, mantids are great pets!

  • Coolio!!!! Awesome!!!

  • very nice, its kind of hard to find baby praying mantis's but i want one to look at and keep as a pet. Does anywhere know a certain type of place you can find them?

What?! I didn´t try to be rude/mean to Jesse! Appearently, you don´t know anything about the human´s psychics. For exemple, if I would ask a guy who uploaded a video with a snake I´ve never seen him keep before, and he hasn´t say that it´s a new pet, am I a "dick" then?!

Well, why do I even care? I know by myself that I would NEVER humiliate Jesse or any body else for no reason. But probably, you do.

  • @BoyBlueberry Nice attempt at trying to be a dick.

  • thats a very nice set up!.......... i have an orchid female and i have all theses orchid flowers in this cage with a moss/fern for the bedding. i have had her for 1 year.
