This vlog shares Ella's thoughts and a bit of criticism about the vlog Teri Sentelle posted in Facebook for a large number of vloggers in attempt to open dialogue with those of us who walked out of DVTV/DR.

Im on way out of house for the last part of CSD's 150th Anniversary this morning. Checked your old responses. They are still here, but "embedded" under another response. You can "post comment" or "reply" to specific comment and it goes under that very comment. Nobody deleted anything unless they removed their own comments. Just noticed youTube removes comments that gets a certain number of thumbs down. mmmm..will check on that.

A few of you have commented that you are not able to view Teri's vlog over at Facebook...that seems quite unfair. Teri did mention in her vlog that she had some access problems with youTube so that's why she went the Facebook routine. She said she'd come back to comment later...let's see what she has to say. I agree that the vlog should be accessible to whoever has the time to go throught the 19 minutes of it all! oh that's right, youTube will reject it anyway! oh well.

Since I do not see Teri's vlog and I will not comment until I see her side of story... listening to you and reading the comments here, I feel your pain and I hope I will get to see Teri's vlog somehow.

I wish I could see Teri's vlog, but I agree with you that we must not be worried about how we are perceived by hearing people. It is hearing people's problem for judging us and they must remind themselves that they CANNOT assume that what they see reflects all people. If we are cautious about what we do/who we are, then our truth is not explicit.

I've been out of loop for a long while, and quite behind....however from what I've viewed regarding Teri Sentelle's vlog, that was characteristic of her. One has to remember she is married to a hearing man and has 10 hearing children. It seems she is more in the hearing world and perhaps has lost touch with her inner deaf.

Hi Ella. Been out of the loop for too long and I am awfully behind. Although I haven't seen Teri's vlog, from what I've seen in the response vlogs, her 19-minute monologue sounded quite typical of Teri. One needs to remember she has a hearing husband and 10 hearing children. It seems to me she is more in the hearing world than she is in deaf world which may explain why she is so concerned about how the deaf are viewed by the hearing people.
