Hi Jade,
Tks for comment, your right.
The dancer should be as natural as the beat of the Pahu drums. There timing is off and energy is down for this fast moves.
They girls should had some coconuts that day.
Polinesia Belly dance in its natural form is
Amazing !!
Love,
Teri

I'm from Hawaii. I'm also a bellydancer. I think we have to be VERY careful with fusion dances. Bellydance, (besides ethnic dances like Karsilama,Saiidi, etc,)..Modern Bellydance especially Cabaret is very free form and doesn't have rules about hand movements and "meaning behind them".More emphasis is on posture and basic form.
In Polynesian Dance that placement is crucial. In some ways they are a little opposite. IMHO when you fuse them it can look sloppy. This dance was not cohesive for me.

Yes, I agreed with "dalmeny's" comment. I give them credit for trying Hula and Tahitian, but being I am from Island of Hawaii, it just not up to our standards. You have alot of belly dance moves, but please polish up on the dance before performing so that the public don't think thats the way the Hawaiian's dance the Hula and the Tahitian's dance the Ote'a.....
como se llama esta cancion?
