On November 9, 2007, more than 4,000 striking Writers Guild of America members and their supporters rallied at Fox Plaza in Century City as a demonstration of their solidarity. In this speech, Rev. Jesse Jackson tells writers they have the right to be a part of the growth of their own industry.
What a load of bullshit.

Omg why in the hell would they let this fool speak. He is horribly phony reverend (cheated on his wife etc etc). If Dr. King were alive he would despise and villify this clown. I don't believe a word that comes out of his mouth he is garbage. I hope the WGA people disassociate themselves with this goofball.

You work at Fox? So you're not a writer, then. (Big surprise!) Jackson is right - corporations are erasing the middle class. And what happens to one union, WILL happen to all. Writing is one of the few things that can't be outsourced overseas due to the subtlety of the English language and it irks corporations no end to pay them more than $1 a day already. "Too few people want to control too much". Right on.

You work at Fox? So you're not a writer, then. Big surprise. Management's spamming a lot of these pro-writers video clips. Instead of typing like you're in the fifth grade, why not say something intelligent about the issues? Jackson is right - corporations are erasing the middle class. And what happens to one union WILL happen to all.
