  • Continued... Both are mixed and you distill the two in tall cold boxes or towers until you purify the Oxygen in the top half and The Nitrogen in the bottom. Nitrogen has more commercial use and is cheper.

Not only that...but Liquid Nitrogen is INERT and does NOT support combustion.

Liquid Oxygen is the ONLY one of the two that would support combustion. Nitrogen is actually used in fire supression on C-5 military cargo planes.

  • @zecorezecron Liquid Nitrogen is cheaper than LOX because the atmosphere is made up of over 78% Nitrogen versus 20.9% Oxygen. Not only that, but to refine LOX to 99.5% purity is more costly than distilling crude Nitrogen. When you make cryogenic fluids such as LOX and LIN (Liquid Nitrogen), you take the heat out of processed air until it liquifies.

  • @zecorezecron Depends on the plating of the grill.

  • Say goodbye to the bottom of that grill.

  • Wouldn't that rust the grill like nobody's business?

  • @Omnywrench Probably a bit cheaper than liquid nitrogen considering it's boiling point is a little higher.

  • Inexperienced? Fill a supersoaker with liquid oxygen to do this from a safe distance.

  • THAT IS HOW TO SET THE GRILL ON FIRE, TOO :D

  • My friend used gasoline to light his BBQ and it lit up nice and was ready in 2 minutes.

  • not fair you had cut scenes
