It is important to know that everyone is different therefore, how long does a panic attack last may vary on each person. The answer to this is largely dependent on a person suffering from a panic attack.

Panic seizures can last within seconds to as long as a few hours. Regular panic seizure often peak within a few minutes, but the after effects can leave an individual dazed, nervous and shocked for hours or even days. There are individuals who suffer from panic seizures in mere minutes, while others recuperate from it longer.

Panic episodes can usually be caused by triggers like certain situations or events; the length of an episode not only depends on how long an individual can recover, but also on the presence of the trigger.

The duration of a panic episode is also dependent in the factors which caused it to occur. If the trigger or cause of a panic episode is removed, the prevailing symptoms may disappear or subside. Leaving a certain place or removing the offensive object can stop a panic episode in its tracks. If no present triggers are seen during an episode, the recovery may lengthen. Factors that cause panic episodes should be considered in order to properly time the length of the episode.

  • Lies I'm a doctor that wont happen unless you have a very weak heart.

  • Whoever put this video together is completely out of his/her mind. Was this some high school senior project? What are you trying to sell to people who suffer from Panic Disorder with Agoraphobia? Are you selling breathing techniques? "Seizures"?? There is no "trigger" needed for someone with PDA to have a panic attack. You must be thinking of PTSD. Anticipatory anxiety is real. Now, as a person who has dealt with her brain chemistry for over 35 years, deal with real pros--not snake oil vendors.

  • why did you say it can cause cardiac arrest. that gives me a panic attack now!!!!!
