The main idea that this short video tries to portray is that...
Home is a crucial factor for personal development. How parents treat their child while they're still small contributes to how they work when they're older.
When people grow older, they are the ones in-charge of the development of the country.
----
Relating & explaining the video:
The "slap" by the father to his child & his disposal of his child's artworks leaves a scar to the child which is an obstacle to her development. The child, Jane, who has become an adult, has the difficulty of finishing an article because of the said experience. She becomes insecure and unable to be confident in her works and thus the "deletion" of her article.
The experience with her father has affected her personal development negatively.
