some SPOILERS !!

Fantastic Mr. Fox was a terrific movie. Lots of colourful characters, complex story lines, clever dialogue, lots of laughs. I really enjoyed it. It was also filmed in stop motion animation. Lots of detailed scenes and backgrounds. Also had some dark themes, like the psychotic farmers, death, jealousy, morality.

It wasn't just a kids movie. Very well written. The voice acting was great. Lots of funny and poignant scenes. Thoroughly enjoyable. Good date movie.

4/5

  • It was definitely better than Darjeeling Limited. The kid sitting next to me in the theater wasn't even watching the movie, he was just complaining and quoting scenes from the Alvin and The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel trailer.

Most memorable things this kid said. "THAT'S NOT FUNNY!" "I SAW THIS IN THE TRAILER" and as the end credits appeared, "DOES THIS MEAN THE MOVIE'S OVER?"

  • I didn't like Darjeeling much, either.

That kid sounds like he was a real junior asshole.

  • Sounds 100 times better than Where The Wild Things Are

  • I haven't seen that, yet. My gf said she liked it. But she liked this, too. I guess since she's dating me she must be pretty easy to please. lol

  • I haven't seen this because taxidermied animals creep me out, and I think all the characters in the movie look like taxidermy. :-p

  • Weakness noted.

  • Yeah, I hated his character in that movie. All those kids were retards.

  • BLAAAAAAAAGHHHHHHHH AIEEEE NOOOOO!!! i think the dumbest moment in film history is when luke wilson's tenenbaum character inexplicably tries to commit suicide. wes anderson makes me cringe. i will never see mr. fox. great review, though!
