The rest of the world knows that not all US americans are stupid. There are plenty of intelligent people getting around.

The problem with the US is that the proportion of morons who believe any old shit they hear (instead of using logic, reason and analytical capacity) is large enough that they become a major force in the making of political decisions. Combine that with the fact that america has a lot of money and purchasing power and you have a very, very dangerous situation.

America seems to be trying to brainwash its people. The education system seems to teach that the US won the war of independence by itself (completely ignoring the French, Spanish and Dutch involvement), the US won the war of 1812 (despite the more accurate view of it ending in stalemate) etc.

Don't get me wrong, I like America, just not how so many things there seem to encourage ignorance.
