This is a powerful testament narrated by 24 year old multiple sclerosis patient Rebecca Groves, founder of the Patient, Families and Friends Group at For Life On Earth. Rebecca takes the listener on a brief journey through time, from 1847 - when animal experiments first became institutionalised - right up to science's present day understanding of complexity and evolutionary biology. Rebecca highlights how current science explains why experiments on animals are not able to serve the interests of patients such as herself, and she highlights the urgent and critical role this up-to-date scientific knowledge needs to play in present-day medical research. A compelling watch.
