The Tall Dwarfs hail from New Zealand and consist of Chris Knox and Alec Bathgate.

This is their "home made" video clip for the song 'The Brain That Wouldn't Die' from their 1984 EP 'Slugbuckethairybreathmonster'.

They are masters of low tech music recording on a 4 track tape recorder in their homes, often utilizing whatever comes to hand as an instrument. They also create all their own CD artwork and make their own videos.

  • thank you so much for the upload

  • Great song.

  • Haven't heard this since John Peel played it in 1984 with The Gordons-Fantastic!!!!!

  • Had this album once upon a time.... Still like this song!! so much energy & catchy as heck music. Probably not so hot on the video, but in it's day it was pretty creative! Haha. Thanks for the memories of the early work of Chris & Alec!!

  • @joneyxj9

I love this movie too! I love 50's films and The Brain That wouldn't Die is one of my favorites! The Web is a fantastic song and fits right into Dr. Cortner's chick searches. Such a sexy tune!

Doris (Adele Lamont) is one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen in films! She should have

been a hollywood superstar in my opinion! She appears to have many fans today. And of all things she

has a very short library of films. Why?

  • @FastEddieNelson you are so right!

  • The Brain That Wouldn't Die is one of my favorite movies. Now its one of my favorite songs.

  • I wish more folk made music in this way. Raw self produced entertainment rocks. Thanks Chris & Alec & thanks for the upload.

  • juhuuuuuu! Loved it and still do!
