The Shen Yun Performing Arts Orchestra begins with a classical Western orchestra as its foundation and augments this with traditional Chinese instruments, enabling its compositions to at once mine the potential of Western orchestral music and yet be rich in Chinese qualities. Classical Chinese dance has as its foundation China's divinely inspired culture of five thousand years. Chinese dance has it's own complete set of training methods in foundational skills, a strict regimen for perfecting bearing and form, and means of training for skill sets such as jumps, turns, and flips, as well as extremely demanding aerial techniques, culminating in an enormous dance system. The aerial movements of classical Chinese dance contain a wealth of high-flying dives, dexterous leaps, and diverse spins.

It is the deeper resonances of traditional Chinese culture, however, that imbue a dancer's movements with such rich expressive power. It is a very beautiful show, very touching and inspiring , "good people will utimately be rewarded". I hope everyone will get a chance to see this show in person, and u can tell the show worth its price, hard to see a show with such a great production and profound meaning nowadays. Definately first class!!!

@Garethtkd Actually KMT did most of the fighting during the Japanese invasion. CCP mostly stood in the background plotting plans to overthrow the government. The crimes that CCP has committed both in China and abroad, the countless millions of Chinese life they murdered and the destruction of the Chinese culture and its heritage will and will always be unforgivable. This evil nature, they even exported to for example Cambodia resulting in Pol Pot executing half of this people. Down with CCP!.

We went to the Kennedy Center to watch this show, and we loved it! Never seen anything like it! My 5 and 7 year old daughters were under the spell of this performance. Great show!

Well you can sit around wasting your time believing there's a spinning wheel in your abdomen and that aliens are coming to save you - straight from li hongzhi's mouth and book - and i couldn't care less. If there was no Mao Zedong, China would be invaded and pillaged by the north, south, east and west. You would be speaking Japanese and your entire country would be peasants.
