  • Mr. Check, I have a bit of a reluctancy to accept the idea of unconditional love as applied to a marriage. I fell that the high divorce rate is in part due to complacency in one or both parties. If you can't get fired from your job, you will not try your hardest.

  • If getting fired is not an option than getting along makes a lot of sense. It is a matter of perspective.

  • Someone I love deeply has huge issues with "intimacy". He is repressed, is uninterested in sex, had sex 12 times in his life prior to me, and it happens very infrequently and for short periods of time. I am very sexual, and it's difficult to be closer and enjoy intimacy on a level that allows us to bond. It feels to me he thinks it's "dirty". It's made me unhappy about how much I enjoy sex. Any thoughts?

  • Often people with sexual dysfunctions (likely caused by diet and stress issues) mask those problems to themselves and others by adopting lines of thinking that demonize sex in one way or another. This puts other on the defensive so the real issue of impotence is concealed. Ask him to tell you how he feels about sex, then ask him if he is happy with his performance when he does have sex. If you are the partner, make sure this is all casual and supportive in tone.

  • How can I open someone's eyes to the reality of unconditional love? I love unconditionally, but a friend of mine, a very spiritual and enlightened friend, doesn't beleive in unconditional love. I don't get it, I love her to death, but I don't get it.

  • Unconditional love is the love of life itself. if you love the universe and not just some of its properties and parts than you can transition that love into the universes seemingly infinite array of relationships and transitions. Your friend must not believe in much beyond the 5 senses.....
