This tutorial, divided in two parts, shows how to implement a simple VHDL module using the Xilinx ISE 11.
In this tutorial we will designing and implement a simple VHDL module that make two leds blinking a different frequency. As reference signal we will used a pre-scaled version of the FPGA clock.

  • i wish you explain the more advance stuff like what is "Create Time Constraints" and setup "Clock to PAD". a step by step of how to bring your VHDL code to the development board.

  • do you know if xilinx spartan is an open source software? if it is where can i download it? if it's not then where can i buy it? thanks in advance.
